Arctic Monkeys

It's like almost a month late, BUT I needed to share my absolutely fantastic experience at Arctic Monkeys on the 10th of May in Adelaide!

Alex Turner was definitely pointing at me here!

This was my second AM gig. AND IT WAS SO DIFFERENT TO THE FIRST TIME!!! There were so many twelvies everywhere. Like actual wtf?! There were some tiny little asian girls in line with us, and were literally 12 years old (no joke, we heard them say their age) that would have been crushed inside. The last AM gig in 2012, I was moshing like crazy and got crushed. I wonder how those girls faired...

EVERY SINGLE SONG THEY PLAYED WAS FANTASTIC!!!! They played new stuff from AM and some classic old favourites. As always, 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' and 'Fluorescent Adolescent' were huuuuuuuge hits! My favourite songs 'No. 1 Party Anthem', 'Arabella' and 'She's Thunderstorms' made it onto the setlist as well.

My love for Alex Turner has never been more extreme. I savoured every hip thrust, every point, every drawl. He's actually the most perfect man ever. Every time he ran his hand through his hair, the crowd would just went wild. He knows how to work a crowd, and he knows it real good.

I could not stop jumping up and down like a crazy person the whole time, just getting so lost in the moment. Walked out of the theatre drenched in my own and other people's sweat. So gross but worth it. I also walked out being deaf in one ear, which lasted for a full 3 days!! Signs of a good concert right there!

At the last gig, Alex took his shirt off and threw it into the crowd. The shirt landed right in front of me, and everyone scrambled to get it, leaving me crushed. This year, I was so close to the front. Literally, there was only one person between me and the barrier. And this was the best position ever because I CAUGHT ALEX TURNER'S BLOODY GUITAR PICK!!!!!! It is now definitely my most prized possession. I remember seeing him flick it, and I jumped up, and being the tallest person in a 5m radius around me, I caught it. No one realised it had been caught, and all the twelvies were trying to look around their feet. Some twelvies even asked the security guard to check the ground on the other side of the barrier. I giggled to myself and kept quiet, and then shared the amazing news with my friend Bec once we were streaming out of the theatre.

ALEX TURNER'S PICK ALEX TURNER'S PICK!!!!!!

A small rant: twelvies need to learn that when they get pushed into, it's not the person directly behind them pushing into them, but literally the whole crowd getting pushed forward. The girl in front of me kept trying to kick me every time I got pushed into her. What a bitch. I taught her.
