SWOTVAC blues: a timely motivational purchase

I'm in the middle of SWOTVAC for my end of year exams, and boy has the motivation dropped off. I have 14 cases to review (in my case, actually learn), and a million things to remember, and my brain just can't hold any more! What better way to start a blog than for procrastination?!

Last night, at 1am in the morning, while I laid in bed waiting to feel drowsy, I decided to spend an hour on tumblr. Tumblr is actually one of my favourite websites OF ALL TIME! I think I spend an almost unhealthy amount on there. I happened to chance upon a post that had the most gorgeous watch I've ever seen. I fell in love instantly. It was simple, elegant, and exactly what I needed to re-motivate myself to study, and pass my exams. With further investigation, I found out it was a Daniel Wellington watch.

DW Classic St Andrews Lady (dream watch!!!)

Before I make an online purchase of a substantial amount, I make sure I've read at least 10 reviews on the product, checked the official website for prices, and then found an alternate website that can do a better price. Just last month, I purchased a satchel from the Leather Satchel Co., and I literally spent days reading reviews, and designing a satchel that had a vintage feel but also had the practicality of holding heavy med textbooks. It's been a week since manufacturing started on my bag, and I so do hope I get it soon!

After looking through all the women's AND men's watches on the Daniel Wellington website, I had decided on a watch. I wanted the Classic St. Andrew's Lady with rose gold face. The leather band is a a gorgeous tan leather, and I had decided it would go perfectly with my LSC satchel (when it arrives). Unfortunately, DW, being based in Sweden, charges about $19 for shipping to Australia. So, I later found that The Iconic had a selection of DW watches. However, no such luck with the Classic Bristol. The only two watches that The Iconic stocked with leather bands was the Classic York Lady and the Classic Sheffield Lady, but thankfully both with rose gold faces. The York leather band was a darker brown crocodile texture, whereas the Sheffield had a black leather band.

DW Classic York Lady (the watch I settled for)
After a lot of umming and ahhing, a bit of a snooze, and checking of the bank account, I finally settled on the York. With some clever googling, I found myself a 20% off code. The Iconic provides free shipping for orders over $50 (no problem), so the total was $160. Perfect.

Hopefully, this watch will arrive soon (tomorrow). Cannot wait to stare endlessly at this timeless piece on my wrist!

**EDIT** My watch arrived!
